Pet Tarantulas are really easy to keep. For water, a sponge is the best thing to use because they breath from their bellies and if they can’t breath they will die. For food they need two crickets a week. You have to gut the crickets and fill them with nutritious gut filling. I want a pet tarantula, but I would probably forget to feed it.

Tarantulas are big spiders. Some tarantulas eat birds. They are very hairy spiders and have two fangs for grabbing and eating prey. They bring their prey back to their den to eat. While they can bite, tarantulas can also shoot sliver like hairs off of their abdomen by rubbing it with their hind legs to protect them from predators. They’re pretty amazing creatures.

Black Widows are poisonous spiders. They like to hide in dark, unattended places. Black Widows make webs that are very unusual in shape and are super strong. Their poison is ten times stronger than rattlesnake venom. When they catch prey in their web, they wrap it in silk, bite it, let it die, and when they’re hungry they eat. When Black Widows mate and the female gets super hungry, the female will feast on the male, unless he escapes.

Today I learned about spiders. Spiders have eight legs and are not part of the insect family. Spiders are arthropods. Some spiders jump on their prey to catch it and others build webs. They have eight eyes so they can see in all directions; two eyes in the front two in the back and two on each side of their head.My favorite spider is a jumping spider. They have to jump just right to catch their prey because if it’s a bee and they they do one thing wrong they could get a crippling sting or even a deadly sting.

My favorite place to go is the Great Wolf Lodge. They have a lot of fun things to do including a water park, arcade, and MagiQuest. In the water park they have a wave pool and water slides. The Wolf Tale is the scariest water slide. You stand on a platform and on the count of three the platform falls out from under you and you fall almost straight down and then you go in a circle and land in a pool of water. In the arcade you get a card to play the games. You play the games to get tickets to trade in for prizes. MagiQuest is a game where you get a wand and visit several portals around the lodge. You complete different tasks to move to the next level. I enjoyed going to the Great Wolf Lodge and I hope we can do it again.

Flies can eat almost every thing . They dispense a liquid that tenderizes their meal. They suck out the juices from the meal and if they land on your meal, whatever they last ate comes out on your food.

Mosquitos carry many diseases. Female Mosquitos are the deadliest bugs on earth because they bite. If you get bit you could contract Yellow Fever, West Nile, or Malaria.

Dragonflies have four wings and special muscles that move their wings. They have six legs, three on each side. Dragon flies are very amazing creatures.

Ants have hairy legs. The hair on their legs may act as little feelers. They are also used to dissipate heat. Ants have antennas to touch, feel, and smell.

Bees have black and yellow bodies. On their bodies they have a lot of fuzz.  They use their legs to collect pollen from flowers.  They bring it back to their hive to feed them and the colony and take care of their young.    

Termites have six legs, three on each side. Termites also have pinchers. they build concrete mounds to live in. They can also spray a liquid from a horn to defend themselves from predators.

If I had my own room, it would be a yurt in the forest. I would put a bed and a bathroom in it because my brothers are annoying. I would put a climbing wall on the ceiling so I could escape from them, too. I would also put a hammock on the ceiling for sleeping and a climbing tree in the corner to get to another level. I would put in a blacksmithing forge because it is fun and a computer so I can get my school work done early. Finally, I would paint the walls blue with the coral reef and sea creatures swimming around my room.
