Photosynthesis

Plants get their energy from photosynthesis. They collect sunlight and turn it into sugar and starch from carbon dioxide.  The sunlight is absorbed by chlorophyll molecules that turn it into balls of energy.  These are taken into cells that mix co2 taken from sugar and starch.  Below the surface of the plant at the roots, there are water and mineral substances that help the plant grow.  The minerals keep the plant healthy, and the water hydrates the plant to it doesn’t die.
