Tarantulas are big spiders. Some tarantulas eat birds. They are very hairy spiders and have two fangs for grabbing and eating prey. They bring their prey back to their den to eat. While they can bite, tarantulas can also shoot sliver like hairs off of their abdomen by rubbing it with their hind legs to protect them from predators. They’re pretty amazing creatures.
